Blondie x2

Alrightie, so that last post went well, right? Let's see if we can't make that happen again! I'm sure there's so much fancy shmancy stuff I can do on here, but for now, we'll just give you fellas something to gander at.

After Miss Maddox, "business" started booming. I was getting calls and emails from people asking for pictures. Never in a million years did I see this hobby turning into a part time job. None the less, I received a message from a lovely lady I went to Girl's State with asking for pictures of her and her sister. I jumped at the chance to photograph two gorgeous blondies.
I had so much fun with these girlies, and they certainly aren't a sight for sore eyes, either. Hopefully I can get them behind my lens again sometime soon.

They were great practice for some senior pictures that I anticipated to be taking in the near future.

Little Miss Maddox.

Okay. So I want to start adding all my old work on here. How I do that? I have no idea. Let's just try hitting some buttons and fumbling around and she what happens, shall we?

I had the privilege of photographing this little cutie for the first time last summer. This was the very first time I ever tried shooting a person. I could not have asked for a more adorable model. :)

All in all, my first shoot went swimmingly! I have known this cutie for a few years now, and it was so much fun getting some practice. Not too shabby for a first time shoot, eh? :)

Let The Adventure Begin. Take Two!

Well, I don't really know where to begin, but I suppose with any good story the best place is the beginning, and simply put: I'm obsessed. I don't know what it is, or what sort of spark went off inside me, but I'm obsessed with photography. I find myself on long walks in the country looking out in the field wishing I had a camera in my hand to document the beauty. I find myself losing focus while I'm trying to drive because I'm too consumed with the sunset to the left. I find myself creeping on the cute old couples in Walmart parking lots thinking they belong in a magazine. I decided for my safety, and the safety of the ones around me, I had to invest in a camera.

I purchased my Canon Rebel T3i last summer, and ever since then, I have been glued to the lens (provided the weather allows it). I never thought that a sudden urge for photography would turn into something so big. In one year, I've familiarized nearly my entire hometown with my photography skills.

I'm gonna be honest and say that I've tried this whole blog thing before, and it was an utter failure. I just never had the time or motivation to post. However, I consider myself "older and wiser" now, and now that I have tons more photographic keepsakes to share, I've decided to give it another try. So bare with me in the first stages of this summer endeavor. I don't really have a plan. That's pretty unusual for me, buuut you gotta start somewhere.

So, here's to new beginnings.

Let the adventure begin, take two!
